Fun Session

It's been a while since we had a good session. I'm glad we did have this last one, it was definitely a good one. From getting to kill Poly in such an amusing way to all the goofing around, it was grand. It's a bit unfortunate Roy couldn't play his character right, though, it would have made for some great moments with the pixie and Nor.

Also, Nor is too powerful. I'm not going to fix it, but still it's too powerful. All those double wand shticks pile up and up and the monetary costs don't matter. The end result is that he can whip out too much damage, too rapdily, whenever he wants to. Still, the damage output isn't that great that I'd be bother to fix it. I'm gonna let Amir have his fun...

Glad to have the adventure proceed. Next session should finish up this adventure, leading us to level 8 and the next adventure in the path... about half-way.

Sick

I had planned to scram two or so sessions of the Shackled City Adventure Path before going to the conventions. Instead, I've fallen sick and had to cancel two AND the conventions, and failed to submit my PhD proposal in the time I intended! Arrrgghhh!

Oh well. I might play SCAP this weekend, fate permitting. I also got to spend a lot of time writing and thinking of the upcoming ArM campaign, which is neat. Now all I hope is that I'll truly get better, and fast, as the doctors keep saying I would.

New ArM saga in the works

It has been a long time.

Consolidating all my internet accounts, I've rediscovered this blog. So I've decided to reuse it. Ironically, I'm just now in a similar position to where I was when I abandoned it - setting up an Ars Magica game online. After several unsuccessful PbP games, I've decided to try something with a more regular schedule - a virtual tabletop game. I've not yet decided on which applications to use, but at the moment it seems MapTools and Skype are the leading contestants.

All this will have to wait, however. My PhD proposal needs to be submitted, and I don't have any to submit! I'm gonna write one down this week whatever happens. I also want to talk to Tal in Weizmann Inst., about a joint work we might do together, and need to do some reading and thinking before that... a hard week ahead of me. A hard month, as afterwards I'll need to prepare the poster for the IFP Conference, prepare for the MIT symposium, and complete the article for Ronnie, all while working with Tal is things go well... One month, since after that I'm off-work for another two months of travel, conherencing, and army... I'm gonna be busy.

So, at best the new campaign will be in three months' time. Lots of time, but little time to prepare for it. Oh well, at least I met an Ars Magica player at the Safed conference. That's pretty rare in-of-itself.
